NickersonPR is an award-winning, full-service communications agency offering an integrated blend of Public Relations, Social & Digital Marketing, Creative Services, and Event Planning & Management. Our main office is located in Downtown Boston.

The Manager, Social Media, Content and Digital Marketing will work directly with PR, Event and Creative Services teams on strategies for social and digital campaigns and day-to-day activities to support current clients and build business with new clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing compelling social and digital content and campaigns for clients and Nickerson Companies
  • Creating strategic campaigns including blogging, Tweeting, Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn posting, etc., to engage with target audiences, social influencers and drive objectives
  • Owning client relationships and all deliverables of assigned accounts
  • Consistently monitoring, listening and responding to trends and specific users/handles to help build followings for Nickerson and our clients
  • Monitoring current trending topics on social media outlets and produce original content
  • Engaging directly with prominent social media influencers by replying to their content
  • Retweeting publications to add validity to Nickerson and our clients’ content
  • Posting real-time tweets from the office or around the city – highlighting company culture
  • Acting as mentor to junior team members and interns by providing guidance and feedback on daily activities and overarching best practices
  • Mapping out content strategy and calendar and executing on agreed upon strategy
  • Elevating Nickerson Companies in the digital marketplace through social engagement and unique content development
  • Creating designs, photography and videography to post to accounts using Adobe tools like Photoshop, Spark or others like Canva, etc.
  • Collaborating with our Creative team on more complex social network designs, photography and videography
  • Designing, creating and managing ads/promotions on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Meeting regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) with assigned clients to provide status of deliverables and ROI
  • Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Attending client pitches where experience and expertise is instrumental to closing new business
  • Ensure client voice and brand standards are met in all social media posts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields (social media, graphic design, marketing, advertising, etc.)
  • PR/Marketing/Communications/Journalism degree/background preferred
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in social media success, preferably at an agency working on different accounts
  • Experience in the commercial and/or residential real estate market a plus
  • Experience using design tools like Photoshop, Spark, Canva required
  • Experience with video editing tools a plus, but not required
  • Experience using time tracker Harvest or project management tool Basecamp a plus
  • Proficient and compelling writer with the ability to target content to applicable audiences
  • Fantastic internal and external communication/people skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and be responsive to daily internal and external communications
  • Successful in working in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable with excel, word, power point and CRM systems
  • Confident in learning new social media platforms and software
  • Possess attention to detail with accuracy and consistency
  • Resourceful and proactive with the ability to troubleshoot and set priorities and re-prioritize as client and internal demands warrant
  • Ability to understand and translate social media analytics
